Charles Di Maggio, Partner
Charles Di Maggio is the head of the Real Estate practice group. He consults on a full range of real estate matters including asset management, commercial leasing, construction management, construction litigation, and debt collection. Charles is also the Chief Executive Officer of Greystone Management Solutions which provides asset management services to public entities. He has served as the General Manager of Starrett City, one of the largest multifamily developments in the nation.
Since 1980, Charles has been actively involved in real estate, management, law, and construction in both the public and private sectors. He served as the City of New York's lead housing and real estate lobbyist in Albany, the Assistant Commissioner for Local Government Affairs and Contract Management for the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, and as the Assistant Representative to the Board of Estimate for the Mayor's Office of the City of New York in the administration of Edward I. Koch.
Charles is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and Colorado. He is a licensed Commercial Broker in the states of New York and Pennsylvania. His professional memberships include: the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Colorado Bar Association, the American Planning Association, the Rent Stabilization Association, and the American Public Transportation Association where he is the Chair of the Real Estate Subcommittee, member of the Innovative Finance and Program Committee and Business Member Board of Governors. Charles serves as an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Urban Planning at UMASS/Boston where he instructs courses on Urban Real Estate, Finance and Transportation Planning.
